Late Syed Khaleelullah Hussaini was the visionary who initiated the organized collection of sacrificial animal skins, laying the foundation for linking the spirit of Qurbani with long-term educational support. Under his guidance, All India Majlis Tameer-e-Millat became the first organization in India to systematize this noble effort. What began as a simple initiative grew into a structured movement, ensuring that the proceeds from the sale of sacrificial skins were dedicated to supporting deserving students through scholarships and educational assistance.
This initiative transformed an act of worship into a continuous source of benefit for the community. The funds generated have enabled countless students from financially struggling backgrounds to pursue their education with dignity, stability, and hope. For many families, this support has meant the difference between discontinuing studies and achieving academic success. The spirit of Qurbani was thus extended beyond a single day, becoming a means of empowering future generations.
During Eid al-Adha, animals such as sheep, goats, and cattle are sacrificed strictly in accordance with With Hygiene, and the meat is distributed among poor and needy families. Special emphasis is placed each year on reaching disadvantaged regions, particularly in Assam, where sacrificial meat is delivered to communities with limited access to basic resources. In many instances, entire sacrificial animals are donated so that families can share the blessing within their local neighborhoods.
